Institution’s Innovation Council: IIC

St. Stephen’s College, Pathanapuram, Kollam has established an Institution’s Innovation Council (IC202218589) on campus as per the norms of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The council was established during the academic calendar year 2022–23 with Dr. Deepa T. S., Assistant Professor, Commerce Department, as the Convenor. Effective from September 2026, Ms. Teeja Jacob, Assistant Professor, Department of English, serves as the Convenor.

The College has instituted Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) as per the directions of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. The council aims to promote creativity, innovation and foster a culture of entrepreneurship amongst the children.

Vision
The IIC of the college aims to develop an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship that enables the students to conceive business ideas and convert them into profitable products for the economic growth and development of the nation.

Mission
To establish a functional ecosystem for scouting and preincubation of ideas.
To build prototypes of entrepreneurs who would further attribute to the development of the country with their innovative start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures
