In alignment with the judgments and directives of the Supreme Court, alongside the guidelines set forth by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the instructions from the State Government, St. Stephens College, Pathanapuram, enforces a strict ‘Zero-Tolerance Policy’ on ragging. Any student enrolled at St. Stephens College, Pathanapuram, who is accused and subsequently found guilty of engaging in ragging activities will face severe disciplinary measures as prescribed by the law.

Ragging is prohibited by law. It is a non-bailable criminal offence and is punishable with rigorous imprisonment up to seven years. Students shall not indulge in any of the following activities which are treated as ragging.
The complaints or information with regard to ragging could be oral or written and even from third parties. The burden/responsibility of proving his/her innocence rests with the accused.
Complaints can be lodged with the Principal, Staff members or any of the members of the Ragging Prevention Committee. All complaints/ information received shall be kept strictly confidential.
GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL.
The cell is meant for redressing the grievances of both teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. It functions as a committee according to the norms and procedures laid down by the University and the Government.
