The Department of English which came into existence in 1964 has been the nerve centre of our college where served many of its stalwarts:  Rev. Fr. C.T. Thomas, ordained later as the Catholicos of the Malankara Orthodox Church; Rev. Fr. Job Thomas, ordained later as Job Mar Philoxenos, the Metropolitan of Delhi Diocese, to name a few. Ours is the only department that comes in direct contact with every single undergraduate student of the college. In 2014, the Golden Jubilee year, the University of Kerala gifted us with B.A English Language & Literature Course. At present, Ms. Blessy John is the Head of the department. We offer General English Courses to all the first and second year Undergraduate students and Core and Complementary courses to B.A English Language and Literature students.
