After obtaining M.Sc. and B.Ed. degree from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, I have been with Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden & Research Institute (JNTBGRI), Palode, Thiruvananthapuram as Research Fellow in the Mycological Research Lab. I completed my Ph.D. from University of Kerala in 2014, under the supervision of two principal mycologists in India- Dr. K. B. Vrinda and Dr. C. K. Pradeep.

I have published 16 papers in journals of international and national repute which includes Kew Bulletin, Phytotaxa, Mycotaxon, Mycological Progress, Mycoscience, Mycosphere, Austrian Journal of Mycology, Mushroom Research, Journal of Mycopathological Research etc.

My main interest is in the field of Mycology & Fungal systematics, Diversity & biology of Fungi and Biodiversity analysis. He has special focus on Taxonomic and molecular studies of gilled fungi in Kerala part of Western Ghats. Currently I am a member of Board of Studies(BoS) in Environmental Science (PASS), University of Kerala.
