I have been serving as Assistant Professor in the Post-graduate and Research Department of Zoology, St. Stephen’s College, Pathanapuram since 1st December 2023. I completed my B.Sc. Degree in Zoology from St. Gregorios college, Kottarakkara as the college topper, M.Sc. in Zoology with Environmental Biology Specialization from Sree Narayana College, Kollam with first class, M.Phil. in Environmental Sciences from the Department of  Environmental Sciences, University of Kerala, Kariavattom Campus, Thiruvananthapuram with Grade A, B.Ed.  in Natural  Sciences from Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram with first class. Qualified SET in Zoology conducted by Directorate of Higher Secondary Education. Procured Ph.D. Degree in Zoology from Fatima Mata National College (Autonomous), Kollam and Post-Doc from University of Kerala.

I am the recipient of “Rev. Fr. (Prof.) V. Varghese Endowment Scholarship” for achieving first rank in St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara, for B.Sc zoology. Received “Young Scientist Award” from CPCRI Kazargod, organized by 22^nd Swadeshi Science Congress on November, 2012. Bagged first prize for the best report entitled “Biodiversity Documentation of Adventure Park, Asramam, Kollam”, organized by Kerala Forest and Wild Life Department, Social Forestry Division Kollam. Awarded ASPIRE Scholarship (Instituted by Govt of Kerala), University SRF and  Post-Doctoral-Fellowship.

I have attended 35 skill development training programmes and participated in 120 conferences / seminars at both national and international levels. Life membership in four professional bodies. Attended two short-term courses organized by UGC- HRDC, Kannur University. Attended 5 FDP programs conducted by Kerala State Higher education Council.  Presented 9 papers in international conferences and 10 papers in national seminars. Published 7 papers in UGC care-listed international Journals and 1 paper in national journal. Published 2 papers in the Proceedings of International Conference and two papers in the Proceedings of national seminar. One article published in The Indian Ocean Bubble (IIOE). Published 4 book chapters with national and international publishers.  Research supervisor of 3 UG projects and 5 PG projects. Principal Investigator of project funded by KSCSTE under Student Project Scheme 2021. Honorary Resource Person for Environment Science Certificate Course - ESCC 2021 – 22. Delivered an invited talk in Jeevanam training program for teachers on the topic “Conserve Biodiversity for future generations “organized by Sub District Education office, Kottarakara.

I worked as project fellow in a KSCSTE funded major research project for two years. Served as Assistant Professor (on contract) for five months in PG and Researh Department of Zoology, St. Stephen’s College, Pathanapuram and also worked for three successive years in PG Department of Zoology, Christian College, Chengannur.

My research area and field of interest includes Aquatic Ecosystems (Characterisation, Conservation, Restoration and Management), Biodiversity Assessments (Terrestrial, Fresh water and Marine systems), Taxonomic Documentation (Terrestrial, Marine and Fresh water systems).
