I completed my Ph.D. from CSIR National Institute of Oceanography, Kochi. I have a Two year post doctoral research experience at the CSIR National Institute of Oceanography, Regional Centre Kochi. My fields of specialization include taxonomy (molecular and morphological) and ecology of marine zooplankton. I have published 60 papers in peer- reviewed national and international journals and books. I also have published 5 Books. I have presented my research papers in various International and National conferences/ seminars. I have also participated in around 50 National and International seminars/Conferences. I have received the training in taxonomy from varies national and international research institutes (Gothen Burge University-Sven Lov´en Centre for Marine Sciences, Kristineberg, Sweden. CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Regional Centre, Kochi; ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi; ICAR- Central Institute of Fisheries Education Mumbai etc.). I have taken part in more than 15 national and international Oceanic Research cruises and identified 15 new species of Zooplankton (Crustacean mysids) and two species of Tanaidacea from various parts of the Indian waters. I have also identified two new species of Crustacean mysids from Antarctic Ocean. I am also a reviewer of many reputed journals and also a Research Guide in Zoology under the University of Kerala. Currently four students are doing Ph.D under me. I have also served as an observer for the National Testing Agency, Govt. of India. Recently I have received the Best Faculty Award 2019 from the Noval Research Academy, Pondicherry.
